Leh Hunder Turtuk Pangong Tso Moriri Trip
Day 1: Leh
Welcome to your Leh Ladakh !. Arrive at the Airport in Srinagar, where you will be met by our representa transfer to the hotel. After a refresh, leave for Shanti Stupa. A beautiful Tibetan structure located in Chandspa at a distance of merely 5 km from the city of Leh, lies the famous Shanti Stupa, which is known for its architectural beauty. Then visit the 3 Idiot school, Rancho school. This school got famous after Aamir Khan’s movie 3-Idiots. Evening visit to Leh main market, which is famous for Tibetan art & craft. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.
Day 2: Leh – Hunder via Khardungla
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (the highest motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Diskit by Afternoon. The rest of the day, one is free to explore Diskit, Hunder Villages, and a camel Safari in the Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay at camp in Hunder Village.
Day 3: Hunder - Turtuk – Hunder ( 82 km /3 Hrs One Way )
After breakfast, drive to Turtuk from Hunde. The 3-hour drive from Hunder. Turtuk Located on the India-Pakistan border, is a small village on the banks of the Shyok River with unparalleled natural beauty. The place is culturally, linguistically, and historically different from what you’ve seen till now in your Ladakh holiday, as it falls under the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Even the landscape is different, with dramatic, narrow valleys and steep mountains, unlike Central Ladakh and Nubra. Evening drive back to Camat Hunder. Overnight stay at Hunder.
Day 4: Nubra – Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, we leave for After an early breakfast check out and head for Pangong Tso via Shyok. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hrs. On arrival at Pangong, check into the camp for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Pangong Tso - Tso Moriri
Drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no man’s land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau make this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute visit the faraway settlement of Chusul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level, with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching sthe hadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake. Stay in tented cottages at Tso Moriri.
Day 6: Tsomoriri-Tsokar-Taglangla-Leh (17582 ft.)-Leh- approx 200 kms)
After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species. After sig.
Day 7: Sham valley excursion upto Sangam
Sham valley excursion upto Sangam. After breakfast, you drive downstream along the River Indus onthe Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian, and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity & further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the Confluence Of The Indus And Zanskar River. After visiting the above places, we drive back to Lehenroute visiting Spituk Monastery, Built in the 15th century during the reign of Grags ‘bum-lde. This new Gelug-pa monastery was built likea fortress on the summit of crags. Later return to Leh. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.
Day 8: Leh Deprture
After breakfasr drop at Leh airport for onward journey.
